FAQ - Erie ABA Therapy
Erie is a newer community — are ABA services as accessible here as in Denver?
In-home ABA therapy is particularly well- suited to newer communities like Erie precisely because it removes the need for a nearby clinic. Our scheduling includes morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend options to accommodate families commuting to the Denver metro.
My child is on the SVVSD waitlist for a special education evaluation — should I wait before starting ABA?
No. The school evaluation process and ABA therapy are separate systems that can run simultaneously. While you wait for SVVSD’s evaluation, Little Champs ABA can conduct our own BCBA assessment and begin building individualized goals. Getting started sooner means earlier skill development, which also makes the school IEP process more productive.
How involved will I be in my child's ABA therapy?
Parent involvement is built into every Little Champs ABA program. You will receive consistent updates from the BCBA, be trained in the strategies being used, and participate in regular goal-setting reviews. In-home therapy also means you are naturally close to sessions and can observe and ask questions in real time.
What funding options exist for ABA therapy beyond private insurance?
Beyond private insurance, families in Erie may qualify for Health First Colorado (Medicaid), which covers ABA therapy for eligible children under 21. Colorado also offers Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waivers that can fund ABA and related services. Little Champs ABA helps families verify all potential coverage options. See our ABA therapy insurance coverage page for details.
