ABA THERAPY SERVICES
IN TEXAS
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) spends time with your child — watching how they play, communicate, handle transitions. We talk about what’s hard right now and what you want to see change. Then we build a plan around your child’s actual life.
Therapy happens in your home, on your schedule. Morning sessions before school. Afternoon sessions after nap. Evening or weekend sessions when both parents can be there. We work around the life you’re already living.
Your child gets support during the actual school day — circle time, recess, lunch, transitions. The moments that are hardest become the moments we practice. Skills learned at school stick because they’re learned where they’re needed.
Parent
Training
We teach you the same strategies we use in therapy so progress doesn’t stop between sessions. You’re not just watching — you’re learning how to keep the momentum going when we’re not there.
What ABA therapy does
ABA therapy teaches skills your child doesn't have yet . and reduces behaviors that get in the way of learning.
That might mean:
- Your child uses words instead of screaming
- They transition from one activity to another without melting down
- They make eye contact when you call their name
- They play near other kids instead of isolating
- They brush their teeth without a fight
- They sit through dinner
We use play, practice, and positive reinforcement to build these skills one step at a time. What feels impossible now becomes routine. Not overnight. But it happens.
ABA therapy from wherever you are
Some families live too far from our clinic. Some have unpredictable schedules. Some kids do better at home than they would in a new place.
We offer telehealth for parent training, assessments, and some therapy sessions. You get the same BCBA expertise, same individualized plans, same quality care — just through a screen instead of in person.
Texas-Sized Challenges, Texas-Sized Care
Texas isn’t one place. It’s Houston traffic and Austin sprawl and San Antonio heat and Dallas suburbs and El Paso desert and rural towns an hour from anywhere.
Your life doesn’t look like a textbook family with a 9-to-5 schedule and a quiet house in the suburbs. So why would therapy be designed that way?
We work around your actual life:
You commute an hour each way?
We schedule sessions while you're at work so you don't lose time with your child.
You have three kids and one car?
We come to you. No driving across town for appointments.
Your child's school is 30 minutes away?
We provide in-school therapy so your kid gets support where they actually need it.
You work weekends?
We offer evening and weekend sessions when both parents can be home.
You live outside the city?
Telehealth brings our BCBAs to you without the drive.
You speak Spanish at home?
We coordinate with bilingual families and support communication in the language your child uses.
Texas families juggle a lot. Two working parents. Long commutes. Siblings with their own schedules. Extended family helping with childcare. Schools that might be great or might be struggling.
We’ve seen it all. And we don’t make you rearrange your entire life to fit therapy into it.
Therapy fits your schedule. Not the other way around.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is ABA therapy covered by insurance in Texas?
Yes. Texas law requires most commercial insurance plans to cover ABA therapy for kids with autism. Coverage caps at $36,000 per year through age 10, though many plans extend beyond that. Medicaid also covers ABA with no dollar cap. We handle all the insurance paperwork and authorization requests so you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
At what age can my child start ABA therapy in Texas?
As early as 18 months. Earlier is better — but kids of all ages benefit from ABA. We work with toddlers, elementary-aged kids, and teenagers.
How many hours of ABA therapy will my child need?
Most kids receive 10–40 hours per week, depending on their needs. Your BCBA recommends hours after the assessment. Insurance approves based on medical necessity.
What qualifications should ABA therapists in Texas have?
Therapy is overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Day-to-day sessions are delivered by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) under BCBA supervision. You can verify certifications through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Does Texas Medicaid cover ABA therapy?
Yes. Texas Medicaid covers ABA therapy for eligible kids with autism — no annual cap. You'll need prior authorization, which we handle.
How long does it take to start ABA therapy in Texas?
Most families start within 2–4 weeks after their initial consultation. The timeline depends on insurance authorization, but we move as fast as we can.
Will my child have the same therapist every time?
Yes. Consistency matters. Your child builds trust with their therapist, and that relationship is part of what makes therapy work.
Our Process
01
First, we listen.
You tell us what’s happening with your child. What’s hard. What you’re hoping will change. We answer your questions and check your insurance.
02
Next, we observe.
A BCBA spends time with your child — at home, at school, or in our clinic. We assess strengths, challenges, and what skills to target first.
03
Then, we get approval.
We submit everything to your insurance and handle the back-and-forth until authorization comes through. You don’t chase paperwork.
04
Next, we schedule.
We build a therapy schedule that fits your life. Morning, afternoon, evening, weekends — whatever works for your family.
05
Together, we practice.
Therapy starts. Your child works with their RBT under BCBA supervision. Skills build. Behaviors decrease. Progress gets tracked.
06
Finally, we celebrate.
Your child hits milestones you weren’t sure were possible. Eye contact. First words. Playing with peers. Sitting through dinner. We celebrate every one.
