ABA therapy for a 2-year-old focuses on building foundational skills through play-based, engaging sessions. At this age, therapists use fun and age-appropriate activities to teach important behaviors like communication, eye contact, following simple instructions, and social interaction.

Sessions often happen in the home, where the child feels most comfortable. A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works 1-on-1 with your child using techniques like positive reinforcement—rewarding desired behaviors to help them stick. Therapy is guided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), who creates and adjusts the treatment plan based on your child’s progress.

Expect short sessions at first (around 1–2 hours), slowly building as the child adjusts. Parents are actively involved, learning strategies to support their child outside of therapy.

For toddlers, ABA isn’t rigid it’s nurturing, fun, and tailored to support early development milestones.

At Little Champs, we specialize in early intervention ABA therapy in Colorado and Utah that designed for toddlers.
