FAQ - Aurora ABA Therapy
My child attends Aurora Public Schools — can their ABA therapist work with the school?
Yes. Little Champs ABA’s school-based ABA therapy service places our therapists inside your child’s APS school, coordinating directly with teachers and staff. We participate in IEP meetings, align therapy goals with educational objectives, and can provide in-classroom support or pull-out sessions depending on what the IEP team recommends for your child.
Does Little Champs ABA serve families in Aurora?
Yes. Little Champs ABA provides in-home ABA therapy throughout Aurora, bringing sessions directly to your child’s home. Aurora’s geographic size means we serve families across both the APS and Cherry Creek district portions of the city.
Aurora has two school districts — does that affect access to ABA therapy?
Your school district affects who provides your child’s IEP and school-based supports, but it does not affect your ability to access ABA therapy through Little Champs ABA. Whether your child attends APS or Cherry Creek schools, we can coordinate with their school team and provide in-home or school-based therapy. What matters for insurance coverage is your insurance plan, not your district.
How does Little Champs ABA handle insurance authorization?
Our team manages the full insurance authorization process on behalf of families, including submitting the BCBA’s assessment report and treatment plan to your insurer for approval. We work with most major private insurance plans and Health First Colorado (Medicaid). See our ABA therapy insurance coverage page for a breakdown of how Colorado insurance requirements work.
What is the difference between ABA therapy and Aurora school special education services?
Can my toddler start ABA therapy before they start school in Aurora?
Yes. ABA therapy can begin as early as 18 months. Little Champs ABA offers early intervention ABA programs and can begin working with your child before the school district becomes involved. The earlier therapy begins, the greater the potential impact on communication and development.
